Best Time to Cross the Border App Reviews

This app needs your location to function. I do not aloud apps that "always" can track my location even when Im not using it. There is no reason why this app should only work when it has access to your location. A list of border crossing to select from should be good enough. If they track peoples movement while they cross the border to get actual times, just like Wize does on the road, then they only need your location when the app is in use, not always.

Gets worse and worse with each update. I still use it because it is fairly accurate none the less. The issues: Location shouldnt be required always. When app is running is acceptable. Make it a suggestion not a requirement. Just bad programming. There are many glitches. ireport drops the timer about 90% of the time if I switch to a different app. Sometimes I want to run the report timer but I turn off my data roaming. I cant even start the timer until I have home cell service. Obj. The error messages. I get all kinds of messages. Every time I have a setting off or no cell service. I dont need 6 warnings showing the same thing. Last update showed 0 improvements. Just more glitches. But I still use it.

It should be a felony to create apps like these. While were at it why not start creating apps to show criminals when its best to rob peoples house.

Sometimes the app close for no reason...

I can see how the location informs up would be useful to them...and many others. Which is why I am not releasing my location to them all the time. The app worked great until they starting tracking your every move.

This could be such a great app but the wait times are not accurate at least not in the SENTRI lanes. If you place a "your history" tab perhaps this can I courage more users to input. It would allow them to check their personal cross time over time. Perhaps put a note tab within so we can input Mexican Holidays in order to anticipate more traffic at the border.

Bad app. Innacurate to the max. Cumbersome . Got rid of it. It is a waste of time. Another thing, when you rate the only thing that comes up are five stars. I give them minus one star.Disgusting!

Why do the app has to always use location services otherwise wont work?

Used to cross at Alexandria bay 2 times I last week. Inaccurate data for number of lanes open. Wait times were WAY off.

Ive had the app over two years but I have to agree with some of the other reviews that say the app is getting buggier with every update. Most of the time when I turn it on now it says theres an error getting the wait times. I also dont understand why it needs to know your location always, why not just when the app is on. Asking users to give their actual wait times is a great idea to improve accuracy, but is such a pain to use that I quit using it a long time ago. By the time I could connect to my US cell carrier it would tell me that I was too far from the border and deny my time submittal.

One can Tailor ones settings for a specific border crossing. Very easy to use... Submitting a user Crossing report is buggy. It will only allow you to submit a user report if youre connected to the Internet. Typically there is no Internet while crossing the border. The program should allow one to track time off-line and submit later

I am very pleased with this app. Very accurate, but users need to report more.

Why have LOCATION information ALWAYS required? The CBPs border wait app does not require such thing, why do you guys do? I would expect something better from the prestigious developers, the University of California in San Diego. Until you fix this I am not planning on putting on risk my privacy.

The app seems to have improve the design of the app. It provide me accurate times.

Does what is advertised and is easy to use. Love the watch app as well!
